The Halleluyah Challenge

Alleluia..

Hallelujah…

Halleluyah….

I have never really been able to stick to a particular spelling (what spelling do you prefer?) but anyway the #HalleluyahChallenge is currently quite popular amongst Nigerians on Instagram and Facebook.

Not just Nigeria, if I do say so myself as CNN had something to say about it too….

I am huge fan of praise and worship.

To me, it is the fastest way to key into the realm of God’s supernatural power. True praise and worship has a way of sending you into a whole new depth of gratitude, thanksgiving and adoration of God’s wonderful work.

For this reason, when I heard about Nathaniel Bassey’s initiative to start the halleluyah challenge from the 1st all through the month of June 2017, I just knew it was a movement I was going take part in.

Let me explain what the challenge is about…

The #HalleluyahChallenge is basically a one hour praise and worship session on Instagram and Facebook Live.

Amazing right? Lovely use of social media for an incredible course. I have never heard or seen anyone pull off such a concept…. at least on my side of the world.

It is an unusual but exceptional means of gathering christians in different places to sing praises and worship at the same time.

The convener is Nathaniel Bassey, a gospel artiste who also plays the trumpet. His disposition and piety towards worship is admirable and it’s no wonder he has been able to hold every session with tenacity.

Praise

The challenge started since the first of June 2017, however I could not join in the first week of June because I had family engagements that got the best part of me before midnight everyday.

However, I joined for the first time in the second week and it has been awesome.

I must add that there have been a lot of testimonies from those who have participated and it is amazing to see over 50,000 people join the praise and worship session everyday since the 1st of June 2017.

I have learnt new gospel songs in English and different dialects as well.

So far, the #HalleluyahChallenge has garnered feedback from different parts of the world. As expected, there are both positive and negative feedbacks but in all what matters is spreading the God’s wonderful work in an exceptional way.

This form of ministeration is commendable as you can participate wherever you are.

If you love praise and worship and will like to participate, add

  1. I hear a lot that praising and worshipping can give a lot of energy back. I think it’s good to express your believes whenever you feel like!
