WordSearchSeries #15: Caboodle + Girl/Guy Code

Hump day means #WordSearchSeries and #WonderWednessday on the blog and we are ready.

For #WordSearchSeries, the new word we found is Caboodle.

Caboodle

I feel it sounds like the name of a really cute puppy…what do you think?

Anyway, here’s what it means:

The whole number or quantity of people or things in question.

Any collection in its entirety.

For example:

She bought the whole caboodle.

I have no use for the whole caboodle.

Have you heard or used the word before?
You should add this word to your vocabulary if you are yet to.

For #WonderWednessday, i’m wondering if there should really be forbidden areas when it comes to dating.

Let’s talk guy code/girl code and where our loyalty stands.

While having dinner last night, I was able to catch movie and it was basically a case of ‘You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone’.

Guy broke up with girl, guys brother starts to date same girl and now guy wants girl back.

We have heard a lot about loyalty and the forbidden areas when dating….The ones I will like to talk about are:

Do not date your brother’s ex

Do not date your sister’s ex

Do not date your friend’s ex….and all the other do not’s.

I am not sure who set these rules but I know people go ahead and attempt it. Needless to say it definitely causes a lot of kerfuffle amongst friends and siblings. Sometimes, it does not end well too.

Honestly, i think I would not want to be in that kind of drama and would totally steer clear.

But I’m wondering though, am i alone on steering clear. Since there’s no legal law and all for these things, Should dating the friends ex, brother/sisters ex be a forbidden area?

I think it really just has to do with where your loyalty lies.

Share your thoughts Lovelies

Will you be in for the drama that comes with dating your friends ex?

Or will you rather stay away from all that?

Some will say ‘but they broke up already’. Do you think that’s a justifiable reason?

Any story you want to share?

Please do so in the comment section.

I’ll love to read from you.

  1. It’s the first time I heard of this word.
And this topic – great one.
Dating an ex of a friend, sister etc it’s not forbidden area at all but I couldn’t do it because of respect. And thankfully I don’t look with any interest at those guys. And I don’t think it’s okay to date en ex from your friend. They broke up isn’t justifiable reason at all, if you ask me. 🙂

  2. Ex’s are ex’s for a reason. I remember getting my knickers into a massive twist when one of my friends wanted to date one of my exes when I was a lot younger but the same ex in now engaged to my other friend and I could not give a toss. I wish them all the best. I suppose when you’re settled in your own life it doesn’t really matter what other people do in theirs.

  3. Dating a friend’s ex is an absolute no no. It has the potential to ruin friendships .
And caboodle sounds like such an onomatopoeic word. I’m going to be using it so much now 😜

  4. I’m not dating a friend’s ex, but my relationship comes with its own form of taboo – I’m dating my manager! I think people should be free to fall in love with whoever they choose.

  5. I’ll rather stay away from the drama lol! But I have had friends who ended up dating their friend’s ex and boy, let me tell you.. it didn’t end well!! But then that doesn’t mean it happens with everyone. 🙂 If you and your friend’s partner( Your then gf/bf) has moved on, then I don’t think there’s anything wrong in doing so.
